World Breastfeeding Week: August 1-7, 2019
Join us during World Breastfeeding Week 2019 to learn more about our work to empower parents and enable breastfeeding.
There are many unbelievable benefits to your child when you breastfeed—benefits for their health, IQ, vision, obesity & disease prevention, and more—and there are many benefits to you, the breastfeeding mother! You can learn all about them by tuning into Cherry Creek Radio stations all week long!
One major benefit for mamas is that breastfeeding substantially lowers the risk of breast cancer. The Great Falls Breastfeeding Coalition, La Leche League, and City-County Health Department staff will be at the July 29 Voyagers home game (7PM) in Great Falls to raise awareness about breast cancer and benefit local nonprofit Women Against Breast Cancer.
On August 2, we’ll be doing a walk and lunch & latch at Gibson Park. Meet at 11AM near the little log cabin. And know that you can still join even if your kids are past their breastfeeding years—just come show your support!
We’ll be at the Great Falls Farmer’s Market on Saturday, August 3. Come say hi and check out the beautiful quilts a special baby will be receiving!
