Vaccines aren’t just for babies!
As children get older, they may need a booster dose of some vaccines given during early childhood. Some of these boosters may be required before your child can register for school. Other vaccines, such as HPV (human papillomavirus) and MCV4 (meningococcal disease), are made only for older children. This makes summer the perfect time to make sure that your children are up-to-date on all vaccinations! And don’t forget, all kids—infants over 6 months, young children, preteens and teens—need a flu shot each year.
To make things easier for parents, CCHD, Great Falls Clinic, and Great Falls Public Schools are partnering to provide immunizations and sports physicals in one location. This event will be at MT Expo Park’s Four Seasons Arena on August 7 between 10am and 4pm. All children age 0-18 years can receive vaccinations; Great Falls Clinic Family Medicine providers will be giving sports physicals to all children that need one. Physicals cost $30, cash only. The cost of immunizations varies, but insurance and all payment types will be accepted.
If you are unable to make this event, you can always come to CCHD for your back-to-school immunizations. Immunization hours are Tuesday from 8:30 – 11:30am and Wednesday through Friday from 8:30 – 11:30am and 1:00 – 4:30pm. No appointment is necessary!
A healthy school year starts this summer! Make sure that your children are prepared!
