Good Apple Award Winners!

Jill Furan, Tom Lambert and Karie Pietrykoski were recently awarded the “Good Apple” Award by the Great Falls Public Schools! New immunization requirements were implemented in 2015, requiring a great deal of attention and collaboration between GFPS and the City County Health Department.

Nancy Rafferty, Records Secretary at C. M. Russell High School, nominated three CCHD Public Health Nurses for their assistance in making the transition go as smoothly as possible. She had this to say about Jill, Tom and Karie.

“I have worked with Jill for many years.  When we have a new student enroll and I have questions regarding a vaccine and or the date given, she is always ready for me to fax the record for her to review. With the new report we could see who actually had invalid immunizations and she was very helpful if we encountered any problems. Her professionalism and continued commitment to our students and their health makes her the perfect recipient for a Good Apple.”

“Tom and I faxed shot records back and forth and spent a lot of time on the phone getting students properly immunized. Not only does he take care of kids but he gave me my flu and pneumonia shots last fall.  His professionalism and continued commitment to our students and their health makes him the perfect recipient for a Good Apple.”

We are so proud to have these three individuals as part of our team at CCHD. We also want to thank all of the support staff in prevention services for helping our team function properly every day.
