Stay Strong the Whole Year Long Immunizations and Sports Physicals Clinic
Cascade City-County Health Department (CCHD) and Great Falls Clinic are working together to make it as convenient as possible for parents to get their kids immunizations and sports physicals before the rush of summer and start ahead of the new school year.
When: Tuesday, June 16, 2015
Where: MT Expo Park – Four Seasons Arena
Time: 10am – 4pm
Parents and/or guardians can bring their children to the walk-in clinic for immunizations, sports physicals or both! CCHD will provide vaccinations to anyone 0-18 years of age. Cost varies depending on the vaccine, but all payment types will be accepted, as well as all insurances, parents should have their insurance cards with them. Great Falls Clinic Family Medicine Providers will be providing sports physicals for only $30, and they will accept cash as payment for their services. Providers can also answer general questions that parents may have.
Both immunizations and sports physicals are important for keeping children healthy. “Vaccines can prevent serious illnesses that can cause hardship for a family”, says Trixie Smith, CCHD’s Prevention Services Division Manager. She continues, “Not only is there the worry of a loved one who is ill, there is also the stress of missed work time and the financial impact that this could have on the family. Our knowledgeable Public Health Nurses will be glad to answer questions and provide information regarding immunization schedules and what vaccinations are recommended to keep children healthy.”
To ensure children are fit and healthy for their chosen sport, a sports physical is required by the school before they begin. Even if a child isn’t playing a fall sport, winter and spring sports also require physicals, and this is a great opportunity for parents to get it done.
This walk-in clinic is a convenient way for parents to get multiple tasks crossed off their back-to-school checklist and is also a great opportunity for parents to help keep their kids strong the whole year long!
