Alive @ 5 Continues Tobacco Free Events
Cascade City-County Health Department (CCHD) is excited to announce its third year of working with the Downtown Business Association to provide tobacco free summer venues. Alive @ 5 is a fun family event and will be tobacco free again in 2015! The CCHD Tobacco Prevention Program will be on site during the first Alive @ 5 on June 11th, to inform attendees of the tobacco free status, answer questions, and provide any information that may be requested.
“Alive @ 5 is helping to promote a healthy community by going tobacco free for all of their events this summer. This allows families to bring their children out and enjoy the events without fear of exposing them to second-hand smoke,” said Teddy Nault, CCHD Tobacco Use Prevention Specialist.
The first Alive @ 5 event will be held in the 400 block of Central Avenue with others being held in various locations throughout Great Falls. Event hours are from 5:00p.m.-9:00p.m., with many utilizing local parks, as well as the downtown areas.
CCHD is very excited to collaborate with the Downtown Business Association and encourages the public to come out and experience fun tobacco free summer activities with family and friends.
