CyclingSavvy Course Offered in Great Falls
CyclingSavvy and Get Fit Great Falls are again teaming up to hold an Adult CyclingSavvy course in Great Falls on May 31 and June 1. This course is an excellent opportunity for adults to learn how to act as confident and equal road users. Strategies for safe, stress-free cycling will be included, and participants will be given tools to help identify and problem solve common traffic situations that they may encounter during their commute.
The CyclingSavvy course begins on Saturday, May 31 at 9am at the City-County Health Department. From 9 am to noon, participants will learn the necessary skills that will keep them safe; this portion is called the Truth and Techniques of Traffic Cycling. That afternoon, from 1pm to 3pm, participants will take part in an on-bike skill building session. This is done in a controlled environment; participants will not be riding in traffic. On Sunday, June 1 from 9am to 1pm, participants will take a tour of Great Falls and put their new skills into action under the guidance of the certified CyclingSavvy instructor.The two day course costs $75 per person and is limited to 12 people.
