What’s Your Resolution?
Did you know that by the end of January, a third of the people that made New Year’s resolutions have already given up? Don’t let that happen to you this year; CCHD has programs that can help!
Quitting smoking is one of the most commonly made resolutions and, many may argue, one of the most difficult to keep. The Montana Tobacco Quit Line can help. The Quit Line is a FREE service that offers:
- A personalized quit plan
- Cessation coaching sessions
- Eight weeks of free nicotine replacement therapy
- Discounted cessation medications, including Chantix and Bupropion, for up to three months
- Educational materials
In addition, the Quit Line has a program just for pregnant women. The Pregnancy and Postpartum Program provides ongoing support throughout pregnancy and after delivery. Tobacco users who use the Quit Line are 7-10 times more likely to succeed than those who try without support! To learn more, call Tobacco Use Prevention Specialist Teddy Nault at 452-0881 x307.
Other popular New Year’s resolutions are to get healthy or lose weight. People often start out with very good intentions, but get burnt out on their new diet or exercise plan. If you’ve resolved to live a healthier lifestyle in 2014, the following resources can help:
