CCHD and Local Pharmacy Team Up
The Cascade City County Health Department (CCHD) is pleased to continue with the “ASK ME!” campaign during the month of March. This is an exciting and different program that teams up with local businesses to increase cancer screening rates and awareness in Cascade County. When customers ask about the “ASK ME!” button the store clerks are wearing, they will be handed a card with cancer screening information for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer. It is a fun and unique way to initiate a conversation about a very important topic: cancer screening.
Penny Paul, CCHD Community Health Education Specialist, is working with local businesses to seek support of this program which ends this month. For the month of March CCHD is pleased to have Great Falls Clinic and Plaza Pharmacy as their partner for the campaign. Both pharmacies are owned by Tim Levandowski and are pleased to be a part of this program. “We have been serving the community for over 50 years,” says Levandowski. He goes on to say “we believe it’s easier to prevent cancer than to treat the disease.”
The “Ask Me!” campaign is a project of the Montana Cancer Control Coalition Early Detection Team.
